For this short written assessment, you will have to watch a DW documentary entitled: New York City rich and poor — the inequality crisis. You can access this on You Tube:

For the assessment you should do the following:
1. Summarise the main point the documentary is making in your own words (30%). Provide, and outline, one or two examples which help tell the reader what the documentary is showing. Do not get too drawn into the examples here, though, you should merely summarise what the documentary is all about. [300 words].
2. Think about the topics, debates, ideas and perspectives we have looked at on the module. You should then outline how the information contained in the documentary highlights, supports, or contradicts one or two of these topics, debates, ideas or perspectives. Use specific examples from the documentary to support your points. Please ensure that you include a full outline of the topic(s), idea(s), debate(s) or perspective(s) you have chosen. (700 words).
You should write two separate answers for these tasks.
