The dissertation is the final third of your Masters programme. Your dissertation is a 15,000-word research project in which you will design, implement, and manage.
When proposing your dissertation, you need to think about the scope and scale of the project. The project needs to be something that you can manage and complete within the allotted time.
As you can see from the titles of previous dissertations below, the research area needs to be narrow and clearly defined in order to allow you to engage with sustained critical analysis.
Some previous dissertation titles include:
How does racism impact the expression of violence within Call of Duty: Modern Warfare?
A Student Vloggers Journey of Identity Construction and Practices: An Autoethnography
Everybody Likes Likes: A comparative study of how the like function impacts Irish & English womens usage and self-presentation on Instagram
