At MassHire Taunton Career center is known for a state government office for individuals who are in need of resources to locate jobs. It is located in Taunton Mass at 72 school street Taunton MA and the number they can be located at is 5087305000. Some services provided at MassHire career center are individualized assessment and testing, vocational counseling, financial aid counseling, unemployment insurance benefits, rehabilitation, counseling/technical assistance and more. In the state of Massachusetts the law 262 CMR.3 states “Confidential Communications (a) Except as otherwise provided by law, all communications, including electronic communications, between any licensee and the client(s) to whom the licensee has rendered professional services shall be deemed to be treated as confidential information in perpetuity. (b) For purposes of supervision or consultation regarding the licensee’s work with a client, information which is acquired by a licensee pursuant to the professional practice, whether directly or indirectly, may be disclosed, to another appropriate licensee as part of a consultation which is designed to enhance the services provided to a client or clients”(Mass gov). In the state of Mass, the clients and the professional counselor should treat all information especially ones that are in perpetuity. All information from clients should be deemed to confidential and not shared with others. In the state of Massachusetts, we use ACA code of ethics. In the ACA code of ethics code A.2.b. Types of Information Needed Counselors explicitly explain to clients the nature of all services provided. They inform clients about issues such as, but not limited to, the following: the purposes, goals, techniques, procedures, limitations, potential risks, and benefits of services; the counselor’s qualifications, credentials, relevant experience, and approach to counseling; continuation of services upon the incapacitation or death of the counselor; the role of technology; and other pertinent information.

Counselors take steps to ensure that clients understand the implications of diagnosis and the intended use of tests and reports. Additionally, counselors inform clients about fees and billing arrangements, including procedures for nonpayment of fees” (ACA, 2014). According to the ACA code of ethics which is used in the state of MASS counselors are to inform clients of all services needed prior to proceeding. In this state counselors will help clients by providing proper resources in the areas that they are in need of. When counselors inform clients of services, they will ensure them of details in depth of services that will be provide if they decided to attend.

Due to Vicki’s state I think this place will be a great place for her to explore to receive the proper help to enable her to successfully gain back her independent and working again. This client is currently out of work and is in need to resume work in order to provide for her child. Due to the state of Massachusetts law counselors are to explain in detail to clients the facility that they are going to. It is also important that counselors enforce clients to sign consent prior to resuming. Vicky is also a single parent and is inspired to increase her education for a better life for her two sons she is raising on her own. Although Vicky may experience feelings of guilt and has great responsibility to provide for her two sons. these services will be beneficial for Vicky due to the different services provided.

The employment and resource center are designed to help clients who are in need of services for employment. Employment and training resources is located in 671 Worcester Rd, Framingham, MA 01701the best number to be reached at his (508) 861-7993 . At this facility client will be able to access the computer to research employment. At this facility clients will also receive help from professionals

2. Parenting and Childcare Services/Resources

a. Resource A:

i. Self Help Inc. The main office is 45 Pearl Street Brockton, MA 02301 Phone: (508) 588-0447.

ii. The resource serves children of low income families that utilize the involvement of parents and community in pre-school programs. It has different programs such as the Parent Child + that offers evidence-based school readiness model which preempts the achievement gap by providing the parents and the children with skills and tools for preparing the child for school. In this case, the resource helps parents in parenting by focusing on how they can prepare their children for school. Furthermore, the resource serves the communities in Southeastern Massachusetts (Self Help, Inc. 2021). The operations of the organization are guided by ACA code C.6.e, which emphasizes the need to provide services to the public good. For example, the agency will provide a child with free high quality books and educational toys, which is aimed at public good. In this case Vicki’s child will be partially provided for.

b. Resource B:

ii. The agency focuses on helping children and families; the focus is to ensure equity in the society and enhance self determination (Judge Baker Children’s Center, 2021). The agency is a necessary resource given the challenge that the client is going through because it will provide personalized guides including directing her to other organizations such as Health Care for All, which focuses on affordable, quality and accessible healthcare to residents in the region. The operations of the agency are guided by some of the ACA code of ethics such as F.1.a., which focuses on client welfare (American Counseling Association, 2014)
