MILESTONE 3 INSTRUCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

For the third Milestone you will continue to build upon the work you have completed. Make sure you continue to use the climate impact/hazard you identified in the first Milestone. In this Milestone you will begin developing a proposed mitigation plan intended to replace what is currently in use. Be creative and don’t forget to identify your target audience that you would submit your proposal to for approval – this should be a local group, government entity or team that is responsible for public safety during hazardous events.

Each section will be worth 25 points and any required graphs, charts or visuals will be worth 5 points – so read carefully!

Remember cycles (water, CO2, Nitrogen, Milankovitch) & Systems (Biosphere, Atmosphere, Hydrosphere and Lithosphere).

Section 1:

Identify the current mitigation plan utilized for your impact/hazard.

Section 2:

Describe the current mitigation plans details and outcome for your impact/hazard.

Describe what you believe were shortcomings of the plan.

Section 3:

Describe your proposed mitigation plan to replace the current plan.

Describe why you believe your mitigation plan is an improvement.

Add an illustration or data that supports your reasoning.

Section 4:

Describe the intended audience for your mitigation plan proposal.

Describe how you might gain approval to implement your plan.

Answer each of the questions in a complete sentence

Label each of your sections, Section 1, Section 2, etc.

Submit your completed work in the designated Assignment Folder in D2L

Responses should be single spaced – 12 font (your choice of font type) – be reasonable!
