Should Recycling be made Mandatory?

· Thesis statement: Recycling should be made mandatory since it minimizes the essence of landfills, reduce climate problems, and save significant amount of energy.

1. Recycling significantly minimizes the need for landfills.

2. Recycling saves energy and reduce climate problems.

3. Recycling helps in energy conservation. The extraction and processing of raw materials including ore, oil or wood to use in making metal, plastic, and paper consumes a lot of energy.

4. Recycling processes saves a lot of energy since recycled products need much less processing to convert them into useable products compared to items that are made from scratch.

Conclusion

· The essence of recycling is always argued in the context of energy consumption and environmental conservation. Energy is always expensive and is prone to depletion (Tsai 2019). Recycling is important as it reduces climate problems, saves a substantial amount of energy, and considerably minimizes the need of landfills.
