Does the Opioid Epidemic really differ from the Crack/Cocaine Epidemic?
Forum Discussion 7: After reading the articles this week, conduct research on the differences in the handling of the crack/cocaine drug epidemic versus the current opioid epidemic. Post a commentary addressing why these two epidemics different in treatment from arrest, prosecution to prevention techniques. Are the struggles exhibited by those who abused crack different than those who are abusing opioids? Why do you feel there has been a different approach to those who abuse opioids versus those who abused crack/cocaine?
