You want to determine whether there is a significant difference in a respondents fear of crime in their neighborhood (FEAR_CRIME_SCALE) based on the respondents gender identity (GENDER_IDENTITY). Based on the levels of measurement for each variable, determine which statistical test is appropriate for testing the relationship and provide the following information.

b. State your hypotheses.
c. Check that your dependent variable is normally distributed and explain why it is, or is not, normally distributed.

You want to determine whether there is a significant difference in perceptions of police legitimacy in their community (POLICE_LEGITIMACY_SCALE) between a known population and those in the data who identify as Latinx (Y7_1030). To do this, you must filter your data for this question so you are only looking at respondents who have identified as Latinx. You know that the average score on the police legitimacy scale for the population is 59.65. Based on the levels of measurement for each variable, determine which statistical test is appropriate for testing the relationship and provide the following information.
