Leadership Practices for Empowerment
The concept of empowerment involves shared leadership. Empowering people at various levels actually increases an organization’s ability to capitalize on talents at all levels of the organization and may lead to a competitive advantage. Figure 7-2 in Chapter 7 of the text (DuBrin, 2023) summarizes nine leadership practices that may lead to effective empowerment.
From that list of practices, first select one that you have observed being consistently applied and discuss the benefits derived from that consistent application.
Next, select one of the practices that you have noticed is not practiced consistently and discuss the implications of such a deficit.
