COM 1090<br />
The Self-Concept is a stable collection of beliefs about oneself. Generally, ones self-concept embodies the answer to &#8220;Who am I? It includes the past, present, and future selves, where future selves represent individuals&#8217; ideas of what they might become, what they would like to become, or what they are afraid of becoming.<br />
Self-concept is distinguishable from self-awareness, which refers to the extent to which self-knowledge is defined, consistent, and currently applicable to one&#8217;s attitudes and dispositions.<br />
Self-Concept also differs from Self-Esteem.<br />
Self-concept is a cognitive or descriptive component of one&#8217;s self (e.g. &#8220;I am a fast runner&#8221;), while Self-Esteem is evaluative and opinionated (e.g. &#8220;I feel good about being a fast runner&#8221;).</p>

The Self Concept Box is an activity that we use to create opportunities for students to explore, understand, share information about how they see themselves. In the process, students generally learn a lot about themselves while having fun. <br />
INSTRUCTIONS<br />
This assignment is titled: The Self Concept Box:  How do I see myself? <br />

Calculate the appropriate hash (using the method specified for the entry from the shadow file) for each word in this wordlist (http://www.openwall.com/passwords/wordlists/password-2011.lst(Links to an external site.)), compare the hash, and stop comparing when you find a match.<br />
Attempt the dictionary attack for each entry in the shadow file.<br />
Remember you need to provide the word from the dictionary, the method, and the salt to the crypt() function.<br />
Print the userid and password when a match is found:<br />
&#8220;Match found for userid [userid]. Password = [password]&#8221;<br />
Print the &#8220;No match was found for [userid]&#8221; when there no match in the dictionary.</p>

How does this assignment relate to what we are doing in scheduled sessions?<br />
The aim of this assessment is to increase your critical thinking around HRM in organizations and how it is impacted regularly by environmental changes as well as developing your skills in analyzing the outcomes of a workplace survey.<br />
This assignment is based on a case study exploring several aspects of HRM. This requires you to become more critical in your understanding of HRM, becoming &#8216;thinking performers&#8217; as you attempt to find solutions to the issues presented in the case study whilst ensuring an efficient, effective, ethical and professional HRM function. Over the weeks of the semester we will debate and discuss how we can best achieve a high performance workforce, minimizing under-productivity and fostering a progressive work environment. Lectures will be supplemented with practical seminars exploring similar issues in a range of organisations.<br />
Successful completion of the unit will give you a comprehensive and detailed overview of how you as a business management graduate with specialized knowledge of HR are able to make a greater impact in the organization, increasing your contribution and effectiveness in working through and with your organizational colleagues to increase the well-being of the business for sustained competitive advantage.<br />

<p>Overview</p>
<p>The purpose of this paper is to allow you to clearly set forth a specific proposal for leadership and education (either or both) and evaluate this proposal against a Christian worldview. It will allow you to analyze a theory of education and leadership that will assist you in developing the skills to lead from core Christian roots instead of personal bias.</p>
<p>Instructions</p>
<p>Write a rough draft of your research paper. This rough draft needs to have the major paragraphs and major argument stated within the paper.</p>

Blumberg&#8217;s Nursing Home (BNH) is a 100-bed Medicare and Medicaid  certified facility in suburban Philadelphia, PA. The administrator  recently terminated the facility&#8217;s DON, receptionist, and dietary aid  for inappropriate conduct. They had all been involved in purchasing and  using illegal substances on facility grounds. The facility staff and  many of the more lucid residents have found out about the incident.<br />
The charge nurse has been appointed interim DON. The human resource  manager has sent a memo to all staff informing them of a mandatory staff  meeting to discuss BNH&#8217;s code of ethics and to provide additional  training on workplace culture. Because federal law requires that there  be at least one registered nurse on duty for a minimum of eight hours a  day, seven days a week, and that the DON must be a registered nurse (RN)  which the interim DON is notBNH is out of compliance.<br />
Instructions<br />
Write a 46 page paper in which you:</p>
<p>Assess the immediate staffing needs at BNH. Prioritize the order  in which BNH should fill the main unstaffed position. Justify your  selection.<br />
Considering the reason behind the termination of the employees,  formulate a human resources policy that addresses inappropriate conduct  in the workplace, the process of reporting inappropriate conduct, and  the consequences of violating the policy. Explain your rationale. <br />
Per the text, an effective long-term care facility administrator  must have both leadership and management skills. Propose at least one  way the administrator in this case must demonstrate quality leadership  skills and one way the administrator must demonstrate quality management  skills in the aftermath of this crisis so as to improve and maintain  staff and resident morale.<br />
Recommend a strategy for BNH to use the Quality Indicator Survey  to improve administrative practices and ensure future compliance at the  facility. Justify your recommendation.<br />
