Overview<br />
You will complete five program critique assignments in the course to support your work as you prepare for your final project. These assignments ask that you critique a program described within an identified article located in the modules resources. These articles were chosen because they relate to the modules topics and demonstrate some common problems that programs encounter. In each assignment, you will have the opportunity to critique certain program components, such as resources, activities, outcome measures, use of feedback loops, assumptions, and external barriers. Once planners have identfied the details for each of the program components, they must step back and assess how those components can best operate within the programs environment. That involves considering concepts such as cultural competency, systems thinking, ethical practice, and others. You will focus on these different concepts, in turn, through the program critiques. As you develop your program critique skills, you will be asked to identify areas that could be or need to be improved and offer recommendations.<br />
In this assignment, you will critique a health or healthcare program using the program critique reading in the Resources section of this module. The reading portrays example program decision-making relevant to module content. The selected program critique reading is the required reading for this assignment.<br />
This assignment will help you predict the importance of a system-thinking approach in program planning. It will help you consider how to construct your program planning team. This activity will also help you understand the role of adequate communication when developing a program plan, design, and evaluation.<br />
Findings from this assignment will help you analyze and improve your programs team development and communication aspects.<br />
Prompt<br />
Write a program critique that examines a health or healthcare program intended to meet a specific health need.<br />
Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:<br />
1. Systems Thinking: Explain how the program considers a systems-thinking approach in program planning. Consider the following questions to guide your response:<br />
What role does systems thinking play in making program planning more adaptive, transparent, and evidence based?<br />
How does systems thinking help with team development and communication?<br />
2. Stakeholders and Team Members Roles: Analyze the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders and team members in the programs planning. Consider the following questions to guide<br />

How did the inclusion of stakeholders help minimize the risks associated with the program?<br />
What would you change in the given programs team-building efforts to make it more collaborative?<br />
3. Communication Tools and Techniques: Determine whether the programs activities and resources use adequate communication tools and techniques to achieve the desired outcomes.<br />
Consider the following questions to guide your response:<br />
How did ineffective communication negatively impact the given program and its stakeholders?<br />
What would you change to improve the communication with the stakeholders?<br />
4. Summary and Recommendations: Summarize your findings from the program analysis, and share at least two recommendations about the appropriate use of systems thinking and<br />
inclusion of stakeholders in program planning. Consider the following question to guide your response:<br />

Note that all the claims in your deliverable should be evidence based. Your citations should be from your independent search for evidence (not from the scenario, textbook, or module<br />
resources) of credible sources and be current within the last five years. You are required to cite a minimum of two sources overall. Refer to the Shapiro Library Guide: NursingGraduate<br />

What to Submit<br />
Your submission should be a 2- to 3-page Word document. Also include a title page. Use 12-point Times New Roman font, double spacing, and one-inch margins. Sources should be cited according to APA style.</p>

<p>A 60-year-old white female presents to your office for a follow-up after a recent Urgent Care visit with her daughter.</p>
<p>· The patients daughter reports that the patient has not been eating much for the past few weeks and complains of a gnawing pain in her stomach when she does eat and reports that she seems to be getting full very quickly with eating.</p>
<p>· The patient complains of mild nausea over the last two weeks.</p>
<p>· The patient has a history of a recent fall from a ladder about 9 months ago in which she shattered multiple teeth and develop and infection. She has been under the care of an oral surgeon for this.</p>
<p>· Her daughter reports that she has been having an increase in forgetfulness and that the patients colleagues have noticed she seems to be off her game for the last few weeks.</p>
<p>· Yesterday she was evaluated at Urgent Care and found to have a hemoglobin of 8.5 and hematocrit of 25, and she was instructed to follow-up in your office today.</p>
<p>· Upon examination today his lung sounds are clear and heart rhythm is regular. She has mild tenderness on palpation over her upper abdomen, but normal bowel sounds.  Her skin is pale and dry.  No other abnormalities are noticed on exam.</p>

Grammar, Usage, and Spelling Reflection paper contained fewer than two grammar, usage, or spelling errors. The reflection paper contained 3-4 grammatical, usage, or spelling errors. The reflection paper contained more than five grammatical, usage, or spelling errors, and proofreading was not apparent. References and Utilization of Outside Resources: The authors reflection paper does not align with the assignment prompt, primarily discussing personal opinions, irrelevant information, or presenting information with limited logic and a lack of development and organization of ideas.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>COMPREHENSIVE INTEGRATED PSYCHIATRIC ASSESSMENT </p>
<p>Many assessment principles are the same for children and adults; however, unlike with adults/older adults, where consent for participation in the assessment comes from the actual client, with children it is the parents or guardians who must make the decision for treatment. Issues of confidentiality, privacy, and consent must be addressed. When working with children, it is not only important to be able to connect with the pediatric patient, but also to be able to collaborate effectively with the caregivers, other family members, teachers, and school counselors/psychologists, all of whom will be able to provide important context and details to aid in your assessment and treatment plans.</p>
<p>Some children/adolescents may be more difficult to assess than adults, as they can be less psychologically minded. That is, they have less insights into themselves and their motivations than adults (although this is not universally true). The PMHNP must also take into consideration the childs culture and environmental context. Additionally, with children/adolescents, there are lower rates of neurocognitive disorders superimposed on other clinical conditions, such as depression or anxiety, which create additional diagnostic challenges. </p>
<p>In this Discussion, you review and critique the techniques and methods of a mental health professional as the practitioner completes a comprehensive, integrated psychiatric assessment of an adolescent. You also identify rating scales and treatment options that are specifically appropriate for children/adolescents. </p>
<p>TO PREPARE</p>
<p>· Review the Learning Resources and consider the insights they provide on comprehensive, integrated psychiatric assessment. Watch the  Mental Status Examination B-6  and  Simulation Scenario-Adolescent Risk Assessment  videos.</p>
<p>· Watch the YMH Boston  Vignette 5  video and take notes; you will use this video as the basis for your Discussion post.</p>
<p>BY DAY 3 OF WEEK 1</p>
<p>Based on the YMH Boston  Vignette 5  video, post answers to the following questions:</p>
<p>· What did the practitioner do well? In what areas can the practitioner improve?</p>
<p>· At this point in the clinical interview, do you have any compelling concerns? If so, what are they?</p>
<p>· What would be your  next  question, and why?</p>
<p>Then, address the following. Your answers to these prompts do not have to be tailored to the patient in the YMH Boston video.</p>
<p>· Explain why a thorough psychiatric assessment of a child/adolescent is important.</p>
<p>· Describe two different symptom rating scales that would be appropriate to use during the psychiatric assessment of a child/adolescent.</p>
<p>· Describe two psychiatric treatment options for children and adolescents that may not be used when treating adults.</p>
<p>· Explain the role parents/guardians play in assessment.</p>
<p>Support your response with at least three peer-reviewed, evidence-based sources and explain why each of your supporting sources is considered scholarly. Attach the PDFs of your sources.</p>

As you begin planning your term-long campaign, you&#8217;ll create a Situation Analysis to clearly define the issue you&#8217;re addressing and the audience you want to reach. This document should serve as a foundation for the rest of your campaign materials.<br />
Your Situation Analysis should be 1&#8211;2 pages and include the following sections:<br />
1. Issue Analysis</p>
<p>Explain your topic clearly, assuming the reader has no prior knowledge. Include relevant background information, history, and current context.<br />
Identify the specific behavioral or attitudinal outcome you hope to influence (e.g., increase recycling, reduce plastic use, shift opinions on climate action).<br />
Discuss why this issue mattersboth to you personally and to the broader community or world.<br />
State your campaign&#8217;s goal: What should your audience think, feel, or do as a result of your campaign?</p>
<p>2. Audience Analysis</p>
<p>Describe your target audience using psychographics (e.g., values, lifestyle, beliefs) and media habits. Who or what influences them (e.g., social media personalities, news sources, peers)?<br />
Include any relevant attitudes this audience may already have about your topicsupportive, skeptical, unaware?<br />
Reflect on communication strategy: What makes this audience a challenge to reach, and what opportunities exist to engage them effectively?</p>
<p>Note: Assume this is a real campaign you&#8217;ll be launchingbe specific and strategic in your analysis. See my attached chosen situtation proposal to write about.</p>

<p>Develop a 1012 slide presentation with audio.</p>
<p>· The presentation should be 10 minutes in length.</p>
<p>· The intended audience is Stroke Neuro Unit in hospital.</p>
<p>· The focus of the presentation is on ethical standards and relevant policy issues that impact the coordination of care at your practicum site.</p>
<p>· Create a detailed narrative script for your presentation.</p>
<p>· The script should be 34 pages in length.</p>
<p>· This script will be submitted to Turnitin. </p>
<p>In your presentation:</p>
<p>· Explain how governmental policies related to the health and/or safety of the community affect the coordination of care as it relates to your practicum.</p>
<p>· Provide examples of a specific policy affecting your practicum site.</p>
<p>· Explain how national, state, and local policy provisions raise ethical questions or dilemmas for care coordination.</p>
<p>· What are the implications and consequences of specific policy provisions on your practicum site? Consider the impacts at the national, state, and local levels.</p>
<p>· What evidence do you have to support your conclusions?</p>
<p>· Assess the impact of the code of ethics for nurses on the coordination and continuum of care. Consider the factors that contribute to health, health disparities, and access to services specific to your patient population.</p>
<p>· Include any evidence you have to support your conclusions.</p>
<p>· Communicate key ethical and policy issues affecting the coordination and continuum of care for your practicum site. Make sure both narrative script and audio voice-over are included with your presentation.</p>
<p>· Present a concise overview.</p>
<p>· Support your main points and conclusions with relevant and credible evidence.</p>
<p>Be sure that your slide deck includes the following slides:</p>
<p>· Title slide.</p>
<p>· Presentation title.</p>
<p>· Your name.</p>
<p>· Date.</p>
<p>· Course number and title.</p>
<p>· References (at the end of your presentation).</p>
<p>Your slide deck should consist of 1012 slides,  not including a title and references slide. Your presentation should not exceed 10 minutes.</p>
<p>Create a detailed narrative script for your presentation in APA format with proper citation of supporting evidence. This would be the script of what you would say in an actual presentation. You do not need to present to your site but you may want to share it with your preceptor.</p>
<p>Supporting Evidence</p>
<p>Cite 45 credible sources from peer-reviewed journals or professional industry publications to support your presentation. Include your source citations on a references page appended to your narrative script.</p>

<p>· Best practices: Summarize evidence-based best practices related to the chosen healthcare problem.</p>
<p>· Physical considerations: Address physical aspects of care (for example, medications, treatments, or monitoring).</p>
<p>· Psychosocial considerations: Consider mental health, emotional support, and patient coping strategies.</p>
<p>· Cultural considerations: Recognize cultural diversity and tailor care accordingly.</p>
